这本书是伴随着希腊逐步完善的。《希腊神话》这本书，我知道了众神领袖宙斯很残酷；赫拉克勒斯神勇、很善良；普罗米修斯为了人类冒着险，为人类盗取圣火，不怕被宙斯惩罚等等英雄人物，我最敬佩赫拉克勒斯，他一共做了很多好事，所以我敬佩他。
他做了一些非常伟大的事，有一件是：勇斗巨狮。详细的是：国王交给赫拉克勒斯的第一件任务是：赫拉克勒斯必须为他剥下尼密阿巨狮的兽皮。这头巨兽生活在阿耳戈利斯地区的伯罗奔尼撒，尼密阿和克雷渥纳之间的大森林里。
这头狮子凶猛无比，人间的武器根本不能伤害它。有人说，狮子本是巨人堤丰和半人半蛇的女怪厄喀德那所生的儿子，还有人说，它是从月亮上掉到地上来的。赫拉克勒斯出发去捕杀狮子。他一路他一路奔波来到了伯罗奔尼撒一位穷苦人热情地招待了他，他叫莫诺耳库斯，莫诺耳库斯正想宰杀一头牲口献祭宙斯。“善良的人哪。”赫拉克勒斯说，“让你的牲口再活三十天吧！如果那时我能顺利地打猎回来，那幺你就可以给救星宙斯献祭，如果我死了，你就应当给我献祭，把我当作升入神衹的英雄之一吧。”

其中，有一个“皮拉和丢卡利翁”的故事是这样的：宙斯听说人类变得非常残忍，决定变成人到人间查看。可无论到什么地方，情况都比想象中还要严重。宙斯来到一个国王那里，仆人们都向他膜拜，国王却想杀害宙斯。宙斯识破了他的诡计，用愤怒的烈火把王宫烧掉。国王好不容易逃出来，呼救了一声，但叫声变成了嗥声，手变成了前腿——国王变成了一只饮血的狼。宙斯掀起一场人类的大灾难，洪水漫延，淹没了村庄。只有皮拉和丢卡利翁因为他们的善良而被宙斯解救，幸存下来。
读了《希腊神话》这个故事，我深深地体会到：国王因为他的残忍，最终变成了一只狼，不再是人;皮拉和丢卡利翁却因为他们的善良，在灾难中得以幸存。残忍会使人变成一只凶残的“狼”，善良会使人变成灾难中的“幸存者”，人类应该永远保持自己勤劳与善良的本质。

读了《希腊神话故事》，让我感受最深的一篇是法厄同的故事。故事说的是太阳神是宫殿的国王，国王的儿子法厄同对国王说：“凡间的人都嘲笑我并辱骂我”。所以他请求父亲给他一次机会显示能力，从而证明是国王的儿子。父亲说：“为了不再让你怀疑你的身世，我可以满足你一个愿望”。法厄同说：“我要你给我一天时间驾驶你的太阳车”。父亲不情愿地答应了。
儿子坐上了太阳车，国王叮嘱儿子：“你千万不要用鞭子打马，要紧握缰绳，不要飞太高，也不要飞太低”。这时，马飞起来，飞了一半，法厄同不知道要拉哪根绳，于是就放手了，结果他的头发烧起来了，而且越烧越厉害，太阳车也烧起来了。最后，法厄同一头栽下了太阳车，并消失了。
这篇文章告诉我们做任何事之前都要经过考虑，不能像法厄同一样不经过思考，否则是不会有好结果的。我们要多听别人给的建议，对于自己的能力也要有个预见，这样才能从容不迫地做好一件事情！
